Lyddie's latest craze is jigsaws. She has a box of 6, with a jungle theme, some of which have 6 pieces and some of which have 9. The 9-piece ones are a real challenge for her. Before she starts one, I set it out on the table in the right place, so if she just carefully put them together without changing the position of any, it would be relatively easy. But she's not quite seeing the whole picture yet, so forgets and moves them around when she's trying to fit them together. It's really fascinating to watch her working on them - you can almost hear the brain cells expanding. And she laughs out loud the whole time she's doing it.
