What? It's not all single parents' fault after all?

Strangely enough, after my forays around the DfES Father's Direct site, I was going to write another post in defence of single mothers today, before I nearly choked on my Ryvitas to see that our glorious leader beat me to it.

Not that I'm falling for it, but I just have to post some of his words here:
"..he said anti-social problems were not limited to single parent families."

And again...
"..he said anti-social problems were not limited to single parent families."

Prrrrrr.

Wait a minute..... *theme to Love Story jars to a screeching halt* ....

He didn't mention the majority of single parent families who don't exhibit anti-social behaviour, did he?

And look, he still wants us to dump our babies on the Surestart strangers and get straight out to work:
"He said it was important to support lone parents who wanted to get back into work and said Labour policies such as Sure Start and tax credits had benefited all types of families.

- although we do get the 'who wanted to..' proviso.

Hmmm.

So.

What does he want? ^^

What indeed? Probably everyone in married family units, both parents working and kids in nursery from 6 weeks until 18 when they can leave state care as indoctrinated citizens to carry on where their parents leave off. He certainly doesn't like the idea of parents bringing their own children up does he?

*shudder* He doesn't seem to, Ruth.

Wouldn't it be great to have a HEing PM?

And.. have you been watching the Inside Story series? It gives some insight into his motivations I think.

lol...He wants a regime where the more tax paying ,less benifit taking mothers there are in the system the better.
The economy always comes before the social good of a nation in their minds.
Kids and families mean nothing to them but votes, the sooner we see that the better!
