More more *more* things they say

Lyddie: [yesterday, having just got dressed to go out] "There. Do I look fashionable?"

Me: "Ooh yes. Not that I know much about fashion, being an old mother.."

Her: "You're not an old mother! I've only had you for..." *counts on fingers* ".. six years, so you're not old at all!"

And the baby, this morning, running outside onto cold tarmac in bare feet...

Me: "Wait a minute! Shoes?"

Her: "No - FEET!"

Aw!! Indeed, the things they say:o)

Years ago, I was babysitting young nephew at my place. He'd be about three, I guess.

Our large, soft as muck German Shepherd dog came in to greet him and gave him a lick. Ben, who had never seen the dog before, jumped on top of the dining table and shrieked "Auntie M, he's TASTING ME!!!!!

Oh, I like the idea of our age being determined by how long they've had us!

oh CLASIC!

I rather like the idea of our age being determined by how long we've had us, too!

some what schizophrenically, I'm 1/2/4/7/11!

(all less scary than being in my thirties. Mind you, i bought some more furniature from a charity second hand place the other day and a different chap was processing my payment, and he goes through the questionaire with me - do you consider yourself disabled, how did you hear of us, etc etc, and he said 'oh, you're under 25 of course'
!!!
nearly fell off the chair laughing!

dear man. probably just part of their 'buttering the customer up' but still, was nice!)

Isn't she just, Elaine?

LOL Mamacrow! People keep saying I look too young to have a 19 year old son, but I think they're just being polite ;-)

Anyway, you know... every wrinkle tells a story..!
